Avaliable Job Today We are looking for an experienced executive assistant to provide first class, confidential support to the Director of Education of the Skinners’ Company. From September 2023 the Director will also be the Senior Executive Leader of the new Trust and this role would support them in this capacity as well as working with the wider executive team of the Trust. This would include supporting our Head of Governance in clerking meetings of our schools.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative
- To provide executive and administrative support for the Director of Education, and for the CFO and Head of Governance of the Trust, including diary management and arranging appointments, managing the booking of meeting rooms at the Skinners’ Hall and at our schools as necessary.
- To receive enquiries, dealing with them in a confidential and sensitive manner.
- To be responsible for the scheduling and publication of our school governance calendar, coordinating as appropriate with the office of the Clerk of the Skinners’ Company.
- To ensure that the events and meeting diaries of Company and schools are deconflicted and mutually supporting when required.
- To work with the events team at Skinners’ Hall to ensure any education events at the Hall are booked and organised appropriately.
- To help the Director of Education prepare for meetings, drafting research where necessary.
- To draft documents and spreadsheets under guidance from the Director of Education.
- To build strong relationships with Heads and Chairs of our schools and the Company’s staff.
Governance
- To take minutes for up to 30 meetings per year of our governing bodies and committees, including preparing action logs where requested.
- To support the CFO of the Trust in managing the annual cycle of policy updates for the Trust, ensuring relevant policies are presented to the Trust Board and stored appropriately.
- To prepare and issue agendas and papers for all Trust Board and Committee meetings, in liaison with our Head of Governance, Chairs and Headteachers.
- To maintain Governing Board registers and ensure our database information is up to date.
Communications
- To ensure that content on the Company’s and the Trust’s websites remains current and relevant, and to advise our schools on any necessary updates to their websites relating to the Company or the Trust.
- To support the Director of Education, working with each of our schools, in the production of a termly newsletter for staff, parents, and the Company staff and members.
- To work with the Company membership team to ensure the Company’s communications provide regular coverage of education matters.
Home working negotiable; requires travel to the Company's schools.

Salary: £27,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
