About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Administrative team at Kellogg College as the Executive Assistant to the President.
You will play a key role in providing support to the Kellogg President. You will be a highly experienced person, able to provide strong administrative, operational and strategic support.
In addition to supporting the diary and College responsibilities of the Kellogg President, you also deliver support services to two externally funded groups where the Kellogg President holds a position of responsibility:
The Universities Association for Lifelong Learning (UALL) – the post provides administrative and event organisation support to UALL, as the UALL Administrator, averaging at two days per week over the year. The President is the Chair of UALL;
You will be responsible for managing the diary of the Kellogg President, using initiative to make considered judgements when juggling the demands placed on the schedule, identifying priority items of business and contacting staff as appropriate and corresponding via email regarding a range of issues on behalf of the President.
You will be joining the University of Oxford’s most international college, with a unique mix of students: it is the University’s leading college for students reading for degrees on a part-time basis and has a strong and vibrant body of full-time students. The College’s wider academic community includes members drawn from across the full range of academic disciplines in the University.
About you
You will have a high standard of literacy, and the ability to draft correspondence and to produce well-presented reports and PowerPoint presentations and experience of diary management, including making complex travel arrangements including negotiation on the President’s behalf with external individuals. You will possess a good standard of numeracy and attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills and computer skills. You will have experience of managing events with a small team and the ability to deal effectively with a wide range of people, to work as part of a team and to liaise with colleagues where work interests overlap.
