An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced and professional Executive Assistant to join the executive support team. The position supports both the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (PVC) for Strategy & Planning and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). You will also work closely with the other Pro-Vice-Chancellors, the Registrary, the Academic Secretary and the Director of Communications, and be an integral member of the wider Executive Assistant team.
Providing a high-level executive and administrative support service, you will be required to manage the working day of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor and CFO, using your initiative and judgement to anticipate their needs, and to ensure the smooth operation of the day to day activities of a busy office. You will have first class organisational and administrative skills as well as the ability to manage and prioritise a heavy and demanding workload, both for yourself and for those that you support.
Working with the Operations Manager (Governance and Compliance), the Executive Assistants' Team Leader, and others members of the Vice-Chancellor's Office, the Pro-Vice-Chancellors' Office and the Governance and Compliance Division, you will be expected to participate in developing processes within the team, and initiating discussion for improvements in working practices. Effective interaction as a team member will be essential.
You will need to be educated to degree level or have relevant equivalent experience, and will possess excellent secretarial skills including word processing, drafting correspondence and diary management skills. You must be highly competent in using the Microsoft Office suite e.g Word, Outlook and Excel. The highest level of professionalism, discretion and diplomacy are required, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
