We form part of the wider Science Creates ecosystem, built to enable deep tech start-ups to thrive by bringing together venture funding, dedicated laboratory and office space, and a strategic network of investors, entrepreneurs, scientists, and specialised service providers.
We are a small but strong team, established in 2020. We have recently completed the first close of our second fund and are working towards the second close and we’re looking for an energetic, driven, reliable and friendly EA to strengthen our team.

Role description
We are looking for a professional and organized self-starter who can thrive in a high growth business, with the right set of skills to take on a range of projects and work independently. You will be responsible for providing a complete administrative, organisational and support service, from daily calendar and meeting management to strategic and special projects. This position comes with significant responsibility as you will be assisting both the Managing Partner and Principal directly, alongside the team.
We are a busy team and need someone with initiative who isn’t afraid to roll their sleeves up and get involved. An interest in VC or science would be advantageous, but not essential.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitating internal communications, full inbox management and proactively coordinating extremely busy schedules for both the Managing Partner and Principal,
- Readiness for meeting briefings, preparing agendas, taking minutes and actions,
- Managing relationships with investors, portfolio companies, suppliers, University contacts and staff across other businesses and updating CRM database. First point of contact on all matters,
- Supporting on external communications including press releases and managing key networks such as LinkedIn,
- Broad administration tasks relevant to fund management,
- Full event management of internal, Investor and Portfolio Company events,
- Ad hoc project management including award and grant applications,
- Creating marketing materials and presentations,
- Carrying out Office Manager duties including:
- Ensuring the office is clean, in working order and a comfortable space to work in
- Managing office supplies inc. fruit & healthy snacks
- Creating, and ordering promotional materials
Identifying and implementing new processes, procedures, and ways of working

Experience:
- Experience in an EA/PA role (desirable)
- Excellent working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Mac & G-Suite (essential)
Knowledge of HR policies and administration (preferred)

Salary
£30,000 - £35,000 DOE
