About the Trust
West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust is a large acute trust providing hospital services to around half a million people living in Hertfordshire, north London and further afield. We run services across three Hospitals at Watford, St Albans and Hemel Hempstead. What you’ll be responsible for:
· Maintain a full diary of events for the Divisional Manager and Divisional Director including prioritising and co-ordinating meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, circulating papers and managing diaries etc.
· Monitor and prioritise calls/correspondences and highlight any serious/urgent issues to the Divisional Manager and Divisional Director.
· Produce reports pertaining to activity, audits and quality indicators and ensure the dissemination of reports is undertaken effectively.
· Produce, without supervision, complex reports and other documents and databases on behalf of the Divisional Manager and Divisional Director, as requested, using advanced skills in Powerpoint, Excel and Word
· Assist with the coordination of complaints and ensure problems with achieving compliance rates are taken forward and escalated. To assist the senior nursing team/assistant divisional managers in the compiling of reports/responses within the timescale set by the Trusts complaint procedures.
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
· An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.
· Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times.
· A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
· Experience in a similar/ same role or PA
· Excellent communication skills
· Excellent organisation skills
· Excellent IT skills
· Microsoft Office package knowledge e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel
