The role requires a highly-motivated individual with strong interpersonal, negotiation and organisational skills who is able to communicate key information and influence a wide audience at all levels including managers, clinicians and administrative staff as well as external stakeholders. The post holder will work closely with directorate management and clinical teams.
We are looking for a motivated and resourceful individual to join our team. The successful candidate will have previous experience as a secretary/ PA, excellent communication skills with the ability to develop key working relationships with all levels of staff including senior managers, consultants, junior medical staff and nurses. They will also have the ability to work independently, as part of a team and within the values of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. You should have a focus on continuous quality improvement and possess a commitment to team working and the innovative delivery of excellent standards of work. You will be able to demonstrate enthusiasm for the provision of operational and governance support to the directorate.
The role is fast paced with no two days the same, therefore the ability to prioritise will be key. We are seeking someone who is both knowledgeable and highly skilled in delivering excellence within healthcare.
There will also be the opportunity to take a role in on-going development of the service and contribute towards team projects.
To provide highly efficient, professional, executive level secretarial support and management of all office administration processes. This will primarily be underpinning and supporting the activities of the General & Vascular surgery directorate. The role encompasses a wide and diverse spectrum of engagements, correspondence and publications and the post holder is required to receive, analyse and interpret queries and liaise with staff and management in medical specialties, professional education and training, UK Departments of Health, and other NHS and Government bodies.
The post holder will be delegated a high level of responsibility, manage their own work and use their own initiative taking key decisions within broadly defined administrative policies, frequently without reference to the (individual providing EA service to). The post-holder will lead on all office administration activities.
