Executive Assistant
The Idries Shah Foundation is looking for an individual with excellent organisational skills and creative flare to support the CEO in running a small charity focused on publishing, storytelling and traditional psychology using resources from cultures around the world. You should have strong written and communication skills, an ability to handle admin efficiently and be a self-starter. The job is currently part time but has potential to grow more substantial.
Responsibilities:
General
● Support the CEO with weekly administrative tasks including post, filing, emails, calendar, and office management.
● Keep financial records up to date on Xero (training available), including invoices, royalty payments and office expenses, as well as update the charity’s budget
● Liaise with charity’s trustees to agendas and minutes and to plan and book future meetings
● Research specific projects – e.g. potential charitable, book giveaways, etc
● Plan and book events such as lectures, readings, storytelling festivals
Publishing
● Work with CEO to delegate/oversee publishing tasks for designers, digital content creator, proofreader, etc
● Work with CEO and publishing consultants to maintain Print on Demand platforms – with a view to potentially learning to manage this side of operations
● Help create a new catalog of books and update on an annual basis
Requirements:
● Excellent verbal and written communications skills – for both old-fashioned communications (letters, emails) as well as digital platforms
● Excellent organisation skills, ability to multitask and find creative solutions
● Familiarity with Xero or ability to learn new software quickly
● Strong initiative and self-motivated to be on time and complete tasks independently
● General interest in cultural activities
Desirable:
● Interest in design, publishing and creative content marketing
Job information
Hours: Part-time (2 day per week initially with potential to grow)
Salary: £22,500 per annum pro-rated
Location: Central Bath office
Start date: Ideally w/c commencing 11th September 2023

Part-time hours: 16 per week
Salary: £16,640.00 per year
