Are you a high-functioning executive assistant looking for a rare opportunity to gain exposure in a dynamic, fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment?

We want to hear from highly organised individuals who are motivated to work on interesting and varied projects, and can maintain momentum by enabling the Founder of Cambridge Applied Research (CAR) to be efficient and effective in everything he does.

The CAR Founder works with multiple high-growth scale ups in the Cambridgeshire tech ecosystem with roles as CEO, Board member and Advisor. As the primary point of contact and key gatekeeper of his time, we're looking for an effective communicator who loves to think on their feet and be one step ahead.

Your main focus will be:

Diary management:

  • Complex diary management across time-zones, juggling high volumes of internal and external meetings and reacting quickly to rescheduling and reorganisation needs

Email and comms:

  • Monitoring and tracking emails, flagging priorities and creating action lists for outstanding responses

Executive delivery support:

  • Scheduling and tracking meetings/actions and providing meeting updates and agendas
  • Supporting collaboration between senior management, employees and stakeholders

Meeting coordination:

  • Booking workspace / meeting rooms / scheduling zoom meetings
  • Comprehensive minute taking and tracking of subsequent actions

Travel coordination:

  • Booking and organising extensive & complex international travel

Content creation:

  • Creating and editing PowerPoint presentations to support the smooth running of company meetings

We’re looking for:

  • Experience supporting at C-Suite level
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • A self-starter, not afraid to take initiative with limited guidance
  • An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, discretion and trustworthiness
  • Methodical, and well-organised approach to work, with the ability to prioritise and multitask
  • Strong & confident experience with MS Office applications: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Calm and focused under pressure, with patience and professionalism
  • A problem solver that operates with a “can-do” attitude
  • It’s a bonus if you have experience working in an entrepreneurial environment or start-up

Key details:

  • Preferred start date: 18th September 2023
  • Remote, with flexibility to travel to Cambridge and nearby areas when required
  • Standard working hours are 9-6pm - some flexibility is required, particularly during travel periods
  • Maternity cover (9 months with the possibility of extension). The chosen candidate will receive a comprehensive handover

Salary: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
