Job description
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, loaders, graders, and dump trucks.
- Perform tasks such as digging trenches, grading land, loading/unloading materials, and clearing debris.
- Follow project plans and specifications to complete assigned tasks.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and report any malfunctions or issues.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment, specifically excavators.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of different types of heavy equipment including Caterpillar machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina to work in various weather conditions and lift heavy objects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Note: Tanker, build, pave, bulldoze, horizontal drilling keywords were not directly relevant to the Excavator Operator role.
Job Type: Temporary contract
Contract length: 1 month
Salary: £19.00-£20.00 per hour

- Northampton, NN1 2ET: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Dumper: 1 year (preferred)
- Excavator: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
- CPCS (preferred)
