Exams Invigilator
College location: East Surrey College (Redhill) or John Ruskin College (Selsdon)
Hourly pay rate: £12.01/hour (£10.42/hour + £1.59/hour as payment for annual leave)
Hours: Flexible (early mornings from 8am, afternoons, evenings, all day sessions)
We are currently seeking to appoint a number of enthusiastic Exam Invigilators to join our MIS & Exams Department at East Surrey College and/or John Ruskin College working for the College on a flexible basis, with a particular requirement of supporting with a large amount of exams taking place early next year across January – February.
The role will cover invigilation with both written and on-line examinations within East Surrey College in Redhill and/or John Ruskin College in Selsdon. The duties will include providing supervision during exams, following the strict College and Awarding Body procedures and regulations on the exam process and in maintaining excellent standards and discipline in the exam room. You will also accurately complete examination documentation, and resolve any queries from both students and internal staff co-workers promptly and effectively.
These positions would suit those with an interest in and/or knowledge of Education, an understanding of the examination environment and for candidates who are able to work on a flexible basis. Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided.
All successful candidates will join our “bank” of hourly paid staff for future academic years and will be offered work on a flexible basis.
The successful candidate must have:
- A good level of IT skills (across all Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Flexible availability & excellent punctuality essential
- Ability to multi-task and work to specific deadlines
- Good organisational and communication skills
Previous Education experience is also strongly desired, but not essential
