Ad-Hoc Exam Invigilator

Location: Northamptonshire

Duration: Temporary, Exam Period

Job Type: Part-time, Ad-Hoc

Position Summary: As an Ad-Hoc Exam Invigilator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and fair conduct of exams within our secondary schools in Northamptonshire. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the examination process, maintain exam integrity, and provide a supportive environment for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up examination rooms according to established procedures.
  • Verify the identity of students and ensure they adhere to exam rules.
  • Distribute exam papers and materials to students.
  • Monitor the exam room throughout the duration of the exam to prevent cheating and ensure a quiet and focused environment.
  • Address any issues or disruptions that may arise during the exam.
  • Collect completed papers and ensure they are securely stored and submitted to the appropriate staff.
  • Report any irregularities or violations of exam regulations to the exam coordinator.
  • Provide assistance to students with special accommodations as required.

Requirements:

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to remain vigilant throughout the exam period.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Clear communication and the ability to handle situations calmly and professionally.
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential.
  • Must be able to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality.
  • Previous experience as an exam invigilator is a plus but not required.

Working Hours: This is a part-time, ad-hoc position with flexible working hours during the exam period. You will be scheduled based on the exam timetable, which may include mornings, afternoons, or both.
