Job description
SAAF Education is delighted to offer exciting opportunities for Exam Invigilators to join our team, supporting secondary schools in South Yorkshire during the 2022/2023 exam periods.
As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a crucial role in creating a supportive and calming environment for students to excel in their exams. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of exams, from organising students at the start and end of each exam to providing the correct information and materials for successful completion.
You will be expected to adhere to guidelines and maintain a vigilant approach, whilst not disrupting the candidates during the exam. This includes managing requests for additional paper and escorting students out of the room temporarily.
We are looking for individuals who possess the following skills and qualities:
- Attention to detail: You will be responsible for ensuring that students follow exam procedures accurately and that no rules are breached.
- Communication skills: Good communication skills are essential to provide clear instructions and respond to students' questions or queries.
- Organisational skills: You will need to distribute and collect exam materials and ensure that students are seated appropriately.
- Time-management skills: You will be responsible for keeping track of time during the exam, ensuring that students have adequate time to complete their papers.
- Patience and resilience: The role can be stressful, and you will need to remain calm, patient, and adaptable to unexpected changes.
Successful candidates will undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which confirms their suitability for working with young people and vulnerable adults.
This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who is passionate about education and committed to creating a supportive environment that helps students achieve their best. If you believe that you have the skills and qualities we are looking for and are interested in this opportunity, we would love to hear from you.
