Amazon's Event Productions team is looking for best-in-class Event Engineer.

You will provide quality Event support services to internal customers through all available channels, meeting or exceeding their expectations at every opportunity.

The successful Event Engineer will be customer focused and motivated by team success. They will be innovative, energetic, and able to adapt to new processes and procedures quickly while dealing with a high volume of high importance requests and ambiguity. They will be committed, flexible, willing to travel, and have demonstrated the ability to maintain high levels of productivity with minimal supervision. They will demonstrate strong initiative and have the ability to learn quickly.

Purpose of the Job:

This is a hands-on Event support position, working across event spaces and recording studios. The successful individual will be required to find solutions for basic to complex problems, implement new and challenging standards whilst holding to the highest bar with regards to quality and technical expertise. The ability to build productive relationships with colleagues at remote sites around the world will make you successful in this role as will patience and a sense of humour.

This position requires hands-on experience across a wide event scope. Event equipment maintenance setup/strike and operations in audio, cameras, vision mixing, lighting and post production.

Key job responsibilities
  • Working with customers on the technical planning of events.
  • Setup and de-rig all Event/studio equipment before and after an event, e.g. cameras, audio systems, vision mixers, play back systems and lights.
  • Direct and own event operations during an event.
  • Write documentation to standardize and raise the bar.
  • Work and partner with external vendors when required.
  • Properly and safely load and transport event equipment between rooms and buildings if required.
  • Promptly report all needed equipment repairs and ensure preventive maintenance is performed.
  • Professional, discrete and service-minded communication with customers and co-workers in all modes: telephone, email, instant message, text or in person.
  • Work effectively and productively with all Event team members.
  • Work professionally with all levels of the organization.
  • Ensure cleanliness in conjunction with Building Operations.
  • Ensure all Health and Safety policies are followed to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
  • Ensure all Security policies are followed to ensure our customer data is protected.
  • Research new technologies to constantly evolve our services to keep up with industry standards.
  • Practice customer obsession, with a focus on customer experience.
  • Exhibit attention to detail in all activities.
  • This can be a physically active job; employee must be able to lift and move equipment multiple times per day, be comfortable standing and/or walking frequently, and practice good safety habits.

  • Experience on a Studio set and understand set etiquette
  • Green Screen experience
  • Editing experience. (i.e. Adobe premiere)
