Responsibilities:
- Assist the General Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Sports and Events Centre, including staff management, facility cleanliness, safety protocols, and event coordination.
- Develop and implement programs and services to enhance the customer experience and increase revenue.
- Oversee key projects for events, conferences, and sporting tournaments, from organisation to successful delivery.
- Collaborate in the hiring, training, and scheduling of staff, ensuring excellent customer service and smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for management as required.
- Foster effective communication and coordination of activities among departments.
- Support the General Manager in monitoring and managing the facilitys budget, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Cultivate and enhance new and existing client relationships.
- Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset to identify and pursue business opportunities.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a sports or events management role, with demonstrated experience in staff management and facility operations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering effective interaction with customers, staff, and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Possess an entrepreneurial mindset, driven to explore new possibilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
- First Aid certification is preferred.
