Overview:

  • To work with the venue’s events manager, events operations manager, general manager and event supervisors to deal with incoming enquiries, turning these into confirmed events and helping to deliver these on the day


Main duties:

  • Responding to events and hire enquiries in a timely manner, liaising with the events team and programming to check venue availability
  • Drawing up quotes for, and upselling, events
  • Drawing up contracts
  • Attending all internal events meetings
  • Supporting the events manager and events operations manager in the day-to-day running of the events department, which will include but not be limited to:
  • Responding to enquiries over email and phone
  • Client handling
  • Developing relationships with new and recurring clients
  • Answering questions in the run-up to and during events
  • Coordinating receptions, ensuring catering is served to a high standard and stock usage is recorded correctly
  • Ensuring spaces are clean, tidy and meet health and safety requirements
  • In-screen communication with projection team queuing intros and Q&As
  • Assisting with tech setup and onstage operations during industry panels, intros and Q&As
  • Coordinating events spaces, maintaining and supervising stock levels, ensuring cleanliness and that clients and guests are catered for.
  • Coordinating stage turnover, cleaning, tech requirements and health and safety considerations.


Required attributes and experience:

  • Previous experience of coordinating/ delivering events
  • Ability to work with a number of teams
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
  • Hospitality venue experience
  • An interest in film, and an awareness of current and upcoming film releases
  • Sales experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to work under pressure and problem-solve
  • Experience of working in a cinema
  • Understanding of UK film distribution
