Fixed Term Contract 12 Months
Grade 3 - £23,194 - £29,438
Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity review
Working 36.5 hours per week
Organise & manage reservations and deliver a variety of in-house organized events as published in the ‘Calendar of Events’ such as wedding fayres, afternoon teas, Christmas events, open days and themed events. Raise purchase orders, goods receipt invoices and deal with the administrative financial procedures within the department as directed by the Business Development Manager. Including counting cash, banking cash and cheques, posting income on SAP and carrying out spot-check audits of financial paperwork and stock counts.
Raise internal recharges and external invoices on SAP, in accordance with Birmingham City Council and Civic Catering procedures and actively chasing for payment of overdue invoices.
To procure new suppliers, awarding low-value contracts and maintaining relations between suppliers and Civic Catering.
To receive, store and deliver goods from event organizers for their event, Carry out customer consultations, handle, respond to and record customer complaints, comments and compliments on corporate customer relationship management system. Provide general administrative support, including copy typing, taking minutes of meetings, data entry, distribution and dispatch of post and maintaining an electronic filing system.
Present yourself in a positive manner and maintain good working relationships/practices with staff, customers and clients.be prepared to step into another Civic Catering role to meet service demands. Duties include; assisting with the running of an event, delivering catering orders or transporting items to another venue.
