Event Staff/Games Master: Locked In A Room - Center Parcs Longleat
Locked In A Room is home to one of the largest escape room venues in the UK and are currently operating in Milton Keynes, Bristol, Exeter and Southampton. We are now looking for someone to join our team at Center Parcs Longleat Forest!
Participants are locked in a room with a series of tests, puzzles and clues that, combined with teamwork, will allow the unlocking of the room's mystery and hopefully a successful escape, challenging them every step of the way.
There are three elements that a Games Master fills during the event, and we need applicants who can perform each role with confidence and professionalism, and provide a great experience for our customers!
Host
The host is one of two customer-facing roles and acts as the event facilitator for the customers, the host's responsibilities include:
- Welcoming customers in our reception area, taking attendance and providing initial customer service
- Giving a health and safety brief and a pre-game brief to the customers.
- Taking team photos post-game and debriefing the customers on their performance.
Backstory Actor
The backstory actor brings the immersive element into the event and is the second customer-facing role, responsibilities include:
- Performing scripted backstories to customers as they enter our game zone
- Encouraging an immersive engagement from the customers
- Ability to adapt performance to the wide variety of customers we serve to ensure the best experience for them.
Room monitor
The room monitors are there to act as an extra teammate for each team as they play the game, and offer help/clues when needed. All staff members will be required to monitor and reset rooms during a shift and work with other staff as an effective unit to prepare the game zone. Required skills include:
- Monitoring teams and providing clues as and when needed.
- Good communication with other monitors during the game.
- Fast and accurate resetting of the escape rooms, an eye for detail is essential!
Experience not completely needed as full training will be provided for each role.
Requirements
Flexibility in hours is essential as well as being able to work weekends. Must be able to work Christmas Eve and/or New Years Eve.
Relatively local to Center Parcs
Being able to work independently, but also used to working in a small team
Have great attention to detail, able to work against the clock
Reliable, enthusiastic, willing to get stuck in!
Preferred experience in any of the following:
-Event staffing/management experience
-Acting/performing roles
-Immersive Entertainment experience
-Hosting Roles
-Front of house roles
-Customer service experience
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 12-24 per week
Salary: £10.47 per hour
