Hodsock Priory is a historic country house wedding venue set in 800 acres of countryside on the border of Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire.
We are looking to recruit an organised, enthusiastic Event Manager to join our team. We predominantly host weddings, although we do also facilitate other events throughout the year. Shifts will be based on our event schedule, however evening and weekend work will be a necessity.
We have an extremely busy season of weddings ahead and therefore are looking to expand our dynamic, hardworking team. Excellent customer service is a necessity, and we would like candidates to be reliable, passionate, enthusiastic and proactive.

Responsibilities
As an Event manager, you'll need to:
- Support the General Manager to help to manage all pre-event planning
- Manage food service in a fast-paced environment, drive service standards to ensure guest expectations are met and exceeded
- Work alongside your Event Manager colleagues with the common goal of delivering a high level of guest experience
- Liaise with clients to find out their exact event requirements and document as necessary
- Manage and coordinate suppliers and event logistics
- Handle client queries and troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly and to budget
- Manage and supervise a team of staff, giving full briefings and supporting them with training
- Make sure that insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are followed
- Assist with showarounds and planning meetings where applicable
- Assist with general enquiries from prospective and booked couples
- Assist the events team to ensure all processes and systems are efficient and effective
- Support other venues across the business where applicable
- Vocalise suggestions and assist the General Manager to improve the events success and venue standards
- Lead and develop an energetic workforce
Essential Experience
· Extensive experience of working in a similar hospitality role
· Previous management experience in the catering/food services
· Previous history of managing food service
· High level of understanding of dietary needs
· Ability to deliver consistently high customer service with a desire for continuous improvement
· Proven experience of leading, motivating and training staff
