We are looking for a highly organised and creative Special Events Officer to join our growing team to plan, deliver and evaluate the effectiveness of both virtual and face to face events targeted specifically at major donor, corporate partner and VIP/influencer audiences.

Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK with a nationwide network of rehoming centres and charity shops. Last year, Dogs Trust centres cared for over 14,000 dogs; we never put a healthy dog down.

We are reliant on voluntary donations to continue our work. Dogs Trust is fortunate to receive some large donations from charitable trusts/foundations, corporate partners and wealthy individuals and we believe there is potential to increase funds from these sources significantly to expand our work even further.

You will identify potential venues, build invitation lists and source and oversee a range of suppliers that make these exciting events a possibility. You will also work with our fundraising teams to support our donors and maximise fundraising opportunities.

With previous experience of end-to-end management of medium to large events and logistics, you will have an excellent attention to detail and a methodical and organised approach to your work. Possessing exceptional interpersonal skills you will have the ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically with a wide range of people at all levels, and you’ll be proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a team or project group.

In return for all of this, we have a comprehensive benefits package, which includes excellent annual leave, Perkbox and pension allowances, and you will you join a team of highly professional and driven colleagues in a brilliant upbeat and collaborative environment, all with a genuine passion for dog welfare.

This role requires occasional regional and international travel across our network of rehoming centres and for venue recces, donor meetings and event delivery days.
