SALES & EVENT EXECUTIVE
A fantastic opportunity for an ambitious AV Technician with experience in designing and delivering productions to join our creative, passionate and friendly team.
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the in-house sales and operation functions at Kapture. This will include being involved in the delivery of a wide range of virtual, hybrid and live events, as well as promoting our business to potential new clients.
We are looking for a highly motivated, ambitious individual with industry experience in delivering event production, video production and team management.
The ideal candidate will have experience in working on site while building strong relationships with clients by delivering an outstanding service.
The job responsibilities include;
EVENTS
- Ability to follow clients briefs to produce compelling and creative narratives and stories
- Project management
- Event management
- Managing team of technicians · Advising on technical solutions for live, virtual and hybrid events.
- Ability to work as part of a diverse team effectively
- Excellent communication and organisation skills to ensure client’s needs are met
- Building and developing long term client relationships through exceptional client care.
- Experience of working within a fast paced environment
- Arranging and booking crew and equipment logistics for events.
Desired AV Events Technician experience:
Audio:
- Experience using Digital desks such as Cl series, QL series, SQ series,etc
- Knowledge of industry standard radio mics - Some RF theory handy
- Audio to/from webcast, video conference and phone lines
- Liaising with call operators
- Mixing live audio for multiple presenters, panel sessions and high profile speakers
- Avoiding audio 'ring' in challenging audio environments
- Correctly putting mics on presenters/Dealing with high profile presenters
Video:
- Experience with vision mixing, use of industry standard vision mixers
- Mixing to multiple outputs such as video conference and presentation screens simultaneously.
- Using auxes
- Setting camera shots and operation of remotely controlled cameras
- Playing videos from playback softwares such as Resolume, QLAB etc
- Mixing between multiple video and presentation sources. Use of backups for resilience
- Knowledge of powerpoint / Adobe presentations
- Knowledge of Scalers - such as Analogway
- Patching via a video matrix - some knowledge of video standards Control
Any lighting experience is welcomed but not essential. The above is a very basic breakdown of some of the day to day skills required of an experienced event technician, but are not all essential. Generally, a few of these skills combined is enough and the rest can be taught.
Supporting the onsite:
- Preparation of systems at the warehouse
- Loading and unloading the vans
- Operation and running of our in-house studio and control room systems
- Onsite delivery of technical systems
- Briefing of freelance crew
- Assisting with on-site delivery of set items
- Duty technician during events and shows
- Ensuring venues are left in an acceptable state once the event has finished
- Technical follow up on the systems and processes
- Support the maintenance team on equipment repairs as required.
- Supporting feedback and non-conformity reporting
- Ensuring our culture of Health and Safety is followed at all times
About you...
- Experience of using all generic and various moving lights
- Experience of using various audio systems
- Experience of using video broadcast systems
- Strong working knowledge of technical equipment
- Experience in Virtual Events (Desirable but not necessary)
- Rigging certificate and iPAF licence (Desirable but not necessary)
- Calm under pressure, a lot of work has tight deadlines
- You also have a full, clean driving licence and are willing to drive light goods vehicles on occasion
SALES
- Maximise sales and company exposure on site and online
- Experience in sales and/or event management would be highly beneficial
- The professional ability to represent the business
- Represent the business through media
- Ensure that any communication with guests is followed up efficiently/effectively
- Supporting sales efforts - Providing quotations, drawings and specifications
- Ability to produce accurate costings & quotations

Salary · Competitive (based on experience) + Overtime + Sales Bonus
