Sales & Events Co-ordinator - Revolution Mitchell Street - Part Time - 16-20 hours per week
Temporary contract with the potential of graduating to a permanent contract after 3 months.
We're looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing individual to join our Sales Team on converting reactive sales, and a passion for hosting events in a 900+ capacity multifaceted venue in the heart of Glasgow City Centre.
The ideal candidate must be comfortable with online booking systems and outbound calls or visits as you will be required to work with both cold and warm data to generate new business and this will form a large part of your role. Someone with a great personality and first class people skills will thrive in this fast-paced role
The Role:
- Handling incoming event and booking enquiries.
- Understanding and proactively selling and up-selling food, drink and activity packages and products.
- Assisting the Sales and Events Team in meeting venue’s pre-booked revenue targets.
- Assisting in driving overall bar revenue by taking part in company initiatives, implementing outbound sales techniques and initiating new marketing ideas.
- Hosting and co-ordinating bookings, functions and events operationally, alongside the venue’s management, bar and waiting team.
- Daily booking and online reservation system administration, including processing booking/event payments and processing invoices.
- Assisting in managing venue’s social media accounts.
- Expanding existing database of venue contacts and data collecting through proactive sales activities
To enhance your development to Sales and Events Management level your General Manager may task you with other responsibilities.

This is an hourly paid, part time position (Minimum 16 hours per week) in a vibrant venue with an extremely supporting and engaging team. Working hours may increase during the busier trading periods such as Christmas if required by the business.
Previous experience in a customer based environment or sales would be advantageous.
