Job description
We're looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our kitchen team as a kitchen porter (pot washer). The right candidate must be available for evening and weekend shifts and have a relatively flexible schedule. We open on Christmas day and so all staff are required to work over the Christmas period including Christmas day. The right candidate would need to be able to get to and from The Royal (Bolton-le-sands) without being reliant on public transport which is intermittent and doesn't always cover the times of work.
The job is ideal for a first job or introduction to the workplace and doesn't require any previous experience although if you do have some, that's great too. The role consists of operating our industrial pot wash machine, keeping the kitchen clean and assisting in basic food preparation jobs under the supervision of the chefs. Finally, the right candidate would be responsible for the clean-up and close down of the kitchen before finishing.
Finish times can fluctuate between 9pm and 10.30pm and very rarely goes any later. Mid-week shifts start at 5/6pm with the weekend being broken down into a day and evening shift.
