Evening Reception Assistant
The University Library requires an Evening Reception Assistant to provide evening cover as part of a team in The Sir Duncan Rice Library on the Old Aberdeen campus. The post is required to enable the opening of the Sir Duncan Rice Library beyond regular staffed hours from 22.00 to 24.00, providing a safe and secure environment for our students. This will be during term-time plus Easter vacation and excluding 24-hr opening periods around exam times.

Duties will include dealing with access issues, basic directional enquiries, assisting with the basic security of the building, closing down procedures, and maintaining an atmosphere conducive to study.
Experience of effectively dealing with the public is essential and you must have a good general standard of education. You will be expected to provide a high standard of customer care, work as part of a team and be responsive to the public, all of which are essential.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 2, £21,543 - £22,214 per annum, with placement according to qualifications and experience.

This role is based in the UK and as such the successful candidates will be required to live and work in the UK. There is no opportunity for homeworking in this role.
