What you’ll be doing

We’re looking for committed individuals with a passion for providing high-quality customer service to join our Customer Service Centre in Swindon as Customer Service Advisors. Don't worry if you don't have experience working in a contact centre, what’s important to us is a proactive outlook, an extremely customer-centric approach, and a great attitude! As we’re proud to support the communities we serve, we’ll need you to live in the Thames Water region. You’ll know if you do as you’ll be a Thames Water customer with your water bill coming from us.
Our Customer Service Advisors are the first point of contact for our customers, and you’ll be representing Thames Water and taking ownership of customer queries, asking the relevant questions, and finding a swift resolution to all enquiries. A professional understanding of what makes first-class customer service is essential, as are flexibility, multi-tasking and problem-solving.
Our working hours are 36 hours a week and the fixed working patterns are:
- 5-Day Week - 11.15am - 7pm Monday to Friday
- 5-Day Week - 12.15pm - 8pm Monday to Friday
What you should bring to the role
- A strong passion for customer service
- An excellent telephone manner with good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact with our customers
- Enthusiasm and being a great team player
- Willingness to learn and progress
- Good IT, listening and problem-solving skills
- An ability to work within a fast-paced and sometimes pressurised environment
