Job Description
- Christian Ministry :
- Strengthening and developing discipleship ministries in a multi-cultural setting.
- Adapting current and future teaching ministries onto an online platform.
- Assist ministry leaders by helping them achieve their objectives.
- Teach, share, and preach the word of God in number of different settings.
- Research /Admin work :
- Study and provide written critiques on current and historic sociological and theological trends within western multiculturalism and western evangelicalism.
- Assist ministry leaders by helping them achieve their objectives.
- Youth and Children's work :
- Organize and oversee youth outreach programs.
- Assist in the development and oversight of a robust children’s ministry.
- Leading weekly worship services, bible study, small group fellowships etc
- Leading discipleship and mentoring classes.
Missions Through Social Media
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
- Develop good and appropriate relationships with the people of the community in order to mentor and support them in every needful way
- Actively engage in outreach to the diverse communities in a compassionate and sensitive manner
- Mobilize local churches for missions and how to engage positively with their local communities.
- To set up and host various evangelistic / outreach activities for diverse groups such as youth groups, elderly people, homeless etc
- Promoting an inter generational and cross cultural ministry to local community
- Spiritual and Pastoral care : Able to do home visits for the vulnerable, elderly and house bound people who need some godly encouragement, undertake counselling and prayer for all who need that form of intervention .
Person Specifications
- A love for the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Fluent in English language
- Experienced and knowledgeable user of social media for missions.
- Possession of literary and writing skills needed for communicating the gospel
- Ability to speak at christian leaders' meetings
- Experienced trainer of Christian leaders
- Vocational christian and church ministry experience.
- A good understanding of diaspora communities
- A post graduate degree is beneficial
- Has ample experience with leading and developing youth oriented ministries.
- Has a high degree of evangelical theological knowledge and the skills to teach that knowledge effectively.
- Experience of Christian ministry in Africa and UK.
- Able to provide multiple examples of past public sermons, teaching material, and a document detailing applicant's bible based theological convictions.
Skills
- Strong communications skills.
- Strong organization and administrative skills.
- Knowledge of videography and video editing software.
- A high emotional intelligence that demonstrates resilience and positivism
