The Role:
Artemis Technologies are seeking an EV Charging Engineer to support them in their mission to become the market leader in high-speed zero-emissions vessels and propulsion systems, to lead the decarbonization of the maritime industry.
The EV Charging Systems Engineer will support the development of the shore-based charging strategy for the vessels and its execution in terms of hardware development. You will provide design and technical input to the vessel propulsion systems for the eFoiler format.
The key responsibilities will include defining the charging strategy, identification, and analysis of key technology providers, support the integration of the technology including design considerations into the overall charging strategy and supporting the test and development work necessary to launch the charging solutions.
You will engage with prospective customers as part of the overall technology solution to identify charging requirements, assessing, and capturing these to develop the charging solution for both Artemis and their customers.
The EV Charging Systems Engineer will work in close liaison with the Head of Flight Controls and Electronics to ensure the appropriate flow of information and content across the projects and resolve any technical or logistical considerations during the test, development, and integration phases.
You will support boat development programs where required ensuring both the required safety and design compliances are achieved - aligned with continually upholding the core values of Artemis Technologies throughout your work and engagement with others.
The Person:
The EV Charging Systems Engineer will possess experience within EV charging systems for HV batteries, charging systems such as Onboard Chargers (OBC), Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) and charge inlets, plugs and cabling.
The successful applicant will possess excellent working knowledge of EC charging standards such as DIN SPEC 70121 and IEC 61851 in addition to EV charging communications protocols such as PLC and CAN. You will be ideally well versed within semiconductor technologies and battery charging cooling requirements.
You will be able to demonstrate excellent people skills, superb written communication skills including written reports and presentation of data sets, coupled with the ability to work with and engage talented and enthusiastic team members to work in a highly cooperative and collaborative format.
