We are constantly focused on the innovation and transformation of the CORDURA® brand. That is why we are looking for a European Business Development Manager to join us on the journey. The European Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy for growing the CORDURA® Consumer business in Europe.
The European Business Development Manager must be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who can operate independently to build long-lasting customer relationships based on principles of mutual benefit. What You Will Do In Your Role
European Business Development
- Develop a market point of view (POV) to assess which market segments and brand customers align with CORDURA® value propositions
- Based on POV, recommend which brands we should work with and prioritize as A and B brand customers across Europe
- Build preferred partner relationships with A and B brand customers and develop deep understanding of their unmet needs
- Collaborate with Product Development and End Use Research teams to prioritize solution development to meet our customers’ unmet needs based on economic and strategic thinking and long-term value creation
- Work together with CORDURA® Marketing Director to build strategy around co-marketing campaigns with selected customers and ensure fit with overall CORDURA® marketing strategy and business goals and objectives. Recommend and support implementation of co-marketing campaigns with select A and B brands
- Work with CORDURA® Marketing Director/Team to provide co-op marketing support for strategic brand and value chain partners including Featured products, Blogs, and supporting media relations (PR / social media) executions
- Provide input into sales and forecasting tools that would enable more effective sales not just in Europe but also the overall global CORDURA® business development team
- Provide input into CORDURA® brand strategy based on learnings from interactions with brand customers, value chain and organization partners, media, industry thought leaders, and others
- Suggest partnerships that would help us achieve our growth goals in target markets (e.g., supply chain collaboration partners as well as related organizations that could help us achieve greater regional / global penetration
- Build relationships with media, industry thought leaders and collaboration partners to build ecosystem of CORDURA® supporters
- Recommend and execute rapid experiments aligned with overall business vison & strategy to test value-in-use for CORDURA® and identify future growth opportunities
Brand Ambassador
- Represent the CORDURA® brand to key customers and other market players (e.g., supply chain partners, media, industry organizations, etc.) in a positive manner to enhance the reputation of the CORDURA® brand
Leader in a global Market Based Management® organization
- Challenge and help shape the Vision & Strategy of the global CORDURA® business
- Participate as integral part of Global CORDURA® business team responsible for creating and implementing business, marketing and sales strategies designed to increase the NPV of the CORDURA® brand
- Advance the development of culture including continuous improvement in the use and application of MBM® for personal and business transformation
- Coach junior members of team in learning MBM® principles as part of daily work

- Willingness to travel up to 50%, including international travel, overnight and occasional weekend travel
- Fluent in English and German
