
EUC Engineer Edinburgh, Scotland
Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to help manage our End User Computing (EUC) estate. Working within our Infrastructure team, you will be working with a mixture of on-premises solutions and cloud technologies to ensure that our compute estate remains modern, performant, and secure.
Working in a Hybrid workplace, you will be working on a predominately Windows client and server-based estate supporting the entire firm. Much of the role is focused on End User Computing, however, being part of the Infrastructure team provides a fantastic opportunity to develop technical skills across a broad range of technologies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provisioning and maintenance of Operating Systems to staff or service delivery teams.
- Troubleshooting, supporting, and maintaining the Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and Intune Infrastructure.
- Updating or creating technical documentation.
- Provide support and training to other members of the IT department regarding EUC.
- Management of mobile devices via Intune.
- Administration of Software Asset Management.
- Collaboration with the wider digital community such as Security, Software Engineering and Service Desk functions.
- Occasional travel to each of our offices (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Birmingham, London)
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience of supporting Windows client Operating Systems.
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
- Experience of MECM or SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager).
- Experience of working to incident resolution, manging change, and working to SLAs.
- Understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Automation skills such as PowerShell is desirable.
- Experience of administering Intune is desirable.
