EU Portfolio Manager Royal Canin (F/M/X)

Location: Aimargues (30min from Montpellier) or any other Royal Canin site in Europe

As a key member of the Brand & Pet Owner team Europe, the EU Portfolio & NPI Manager in close collaboration with the global innovation teams and EU pillar heads to define the EU portfolio/ NPI strategy in line of global framework and meeting EU market needs. The role is also responsible to analyzing, measuring, and make optimization recommendations how existing products contribute to broader business goals. It also involves identifying opportunities to expand the portfolio and/ or NPI needs and create a product portfolio roadmap.
What are we looking for?
6 years Marketing experience, with portfolio and innovation management experience highly regarded (preferably in FMCG)
Strong leadership skills to get things done through others/ project teams.
Strategic agility and strong analytical skills with experience to turn data into insights and action
Demonstrated ability to define & implement portfolio strategies to gain competitive advantages
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal fluent English essential
What will be your key responsibilities?
Relevant EU NPI/ Renovation Pipeline
Provide Global teams with strategic insights / data/ best practices & needs of EU markets to define relevant innovation EU pipeline
Reviews Global project and prioritizes them in line with the EU Portfolio Strategy
NPI Scoping & Deployment
Works closely with the global PSR/ Vet/ Pro innovation teams to scope ( timings/ business case etc) EU relevant NPI/renovation
Responsible to deploy global projects coordinating launches with the local marketing team agreeing and securing timings, the pre-launch, launch and post-launch actions
Work with the EU Activation Manager to secure that the activation plans will serve the category growth and are role out timely
Portfolio Management
Sets and manages the EU portfolio and NPI strategy looking at category and consumer insights and portfolio performance to advise right levers to grow (e.g.gap in NPI/ portfolio play/ pack/ price) to meet most important pet health needs, maximize NSV growth and our premiumization agenda.
Delivers the tools that the markets can use to make their own portfolio choices relevant to their markets (in the EU frame).
Collaborate with regional activities managers and E2E regional team for portfolio changes coordination from a demand and supply perspective. (Innovation, renovation, must do…)
Stays up to date with competitive portfolio & NPI intelligence
EU PMR Management & Optimisation
Facilitates the EU Portfolio Management Review of the Regional S&OP+ process: Defines the agenda together with the PMR Owner, facilitates the meeting and ensures actions and escalations are followed throughs.
Leads the OTIF delivery of NPI, reviews, incl. managing local escalations/ raising global escalations and seeing them through to secure OTIF launch
Leads commercial reviews/ discussions In PMR by setting up relevant dashboards/ KPI and frequency
Works closely with EU SNOP Director to continuously improve the meeting, flows of information and coordination with Local and Global PMRs as well as Regional IRR.
