We deliver straightforward connections throughout the UK and hold the relevant licenses that allow us to adopt regulated utilities on new developments.
We are looking for an ETL Developer to be part of our Business Intelligence team. The ETL Developer will be responsible for the extract, transform and loading of data from our various data sources and our data warehouse environment. Liaising with our strategic partners and internal stakeholders the timely providing of data is a critical part of ensuring the smooth operation of Leep Utilities as well as being able to provide input into strategic analysis.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, implement, and continuously expand data pipelines by performing extraction, transformation, and loading activities
- Gather requirements and business process knowledge to transform the data in a way that’s geared towards the needs of end users
- Maintain and improve already existing processes
- Ensure that the data architecture is scalable and maintainable
- Work with the business in designing and delivering correct, high-quality data
- Investigate data to identify potential issues within ETL pipelines, notify end-users and propose adequate solutions
- Prepare documentation for further reference
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
- SQL knowledge (query performance tuning, index maintenance, etc.) as well as an understanding of database structure preferable on MS SQL Server
- Knowledge of data modelling principles
- Organizational skills: time management and planning
- Knowledge of at least one ETL tool (SSIS, Airflow etc.)
- Knowledge of Python desirable
- Experience in using visual tools such as Power BI / Tableau / SSRS / Excel.
- Experience in writing and amending DAX expressions is desirable
- High attention to detail
- Passionate about complex data structures and problem solving
- Ability to pick up new data tools and concepts quickly
