Estimator / Senior Estimator – Civil Engineering Hertfordshire

Senior Estimator - Tier 1 or - Civil Engineering - Circa £85k + Exceptional Package My client is a World Leading Construction and Civil Engineering Company. They are looking to appoint, on a basis, a Senior Estimator for their successful Civil Engineering Division. Based out of their Offices in Hertfordshire you will be focussing on a variety of Transportation and Energy Sector projects. My client is seeking someone with a firm knowledge of civil engineering construction sequences, engineering planning and associated productivity will equip the successful candidate for a “hands on” role in civil engineering estimating from first principles. (Labour and materials required from Preconstruction through site establishment -project office set up, through project delivery). Generally speaking, my client focusses on projects in excess of £100m, although they would consider application from those that have been involved with tenders up to £25m. My client's growth sector is Transportation with an emphasis on linear projects; For example – Producing estimates for Highways or Rail related projects which could include; Service diversions Securing the site: fencing or hoardings as appropriate Piling Major earthworks Drainage Reinforced concrete works In addition, my client is involved and has delivered previously a number of non- linear transportation projects such as Station Upgrades and Station Hubs. They are also focussed on Rail Maintenance Depots and have delivered several high profile projects in recent years. Furthermore, there is a commitment at CEO level to bid for projects in the highly specialist Energy Sector to include; Energy from waste projects New nuclear Nuclear decommissioning such as Sellafield Nuclear processing plant Station upgrades, Depots and the Energy Sector also introduce the variety of estimating packages of work including MEP and fit out following the major civils works so those with experience in these fields would be of particular interest. My client would also consider those individuals who have a very strong background in Site Engineering rising to Management who have worked on Major Civil Engineering Projects in the UK and would like to be considered for an office based Estimator position.
