Objectives

To manage key client relationships in order to achieve the annual target turnover and full utilisation of the workshop through conversion of tender enquiries into orders in line with target OHP recovery.

Key Tasks

1. Manage estimating throughput to meet monthly turnover targets using HBE standard formats and documents.

2. Manage the follow-up of all live opportunities with view to conversion to sales order and provide feedback on quotation log.

3. Attend Pre-start meetings and assist Project Manager with gathering lead-in, resource and programming information.

4. Provide practical advice, knowledge and input into the estimating and design phases of a project to ensure ‘buildability’ considerations are adopted with reference to the Sites Manager and Production Manager over design intent and solutions/fixings where necessary.

5. Review Client orders/Letter of intent/Formal works instructions to ensure that all costs are covered and T&C’s are acceptable.

6. Formally handover secured work to the projects team at Technical Review explaining the project plan, budgets, labour, materials, margins and highlighting potential issues/concerns.

7. Set-up new jobs post Technical Review in line with the Estimating Process.

8. Support Project Manager by pricing variation orders and reviewing changes to contractual information as required.

9. Develop relationships with potential new clients to diversify the order book and follow strategic direction as required.

10. Monitor the market and target projects/areas with reduced risk/increased profitability.

11. Contribute to project close-out meetings to review profitability and success/capture lessons learnt.

12. Provide regular feedback to directors on status of quotation log and sales pipeline.

Salary

Dependent on experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year

• LEIGHTON BUZZARD: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

• surveying: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)
