Title: Estates & Facilities Manager
Salary: NJC PO3 points 32-35 (£38,296 - £41,496)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Permanent, 52 weeks (part-time working arrangements will be considered)
Location: Home based with weekly site visits to all trust academies
Reporting to: Director of Capital Programmes, Estates and Facilities
Staff responsibility for: Facilities staff at each academy with the exception of King’s Liverpool
Hours per week: 37 hours

We are looking for an exceptional individual to:

  • Lead the delivery of facilities and estates management services to the Trust and its constituent academies.
  • Manage Individual academy and Trust-wide refurbishment and building compliance/Health & Safety development programmes, and
  • Support the Director of Capital Programmes, Estates and Facilities with the planning, management and delivery of the Trust’s Capital Programme

The successful candidate will manage teams of contractors, professionals and internal staff including technical advisors, surveyors, project managers and individual academy operations staff. They will liaise regularly with a range of key stakeholders, including Trustees, the DfE, Local Authorities and contractors.

The successful candidate will be expected to have:

  • Strong knowledge of the estates and construction management industries, demonstrating good understanding of emerging and current thinking likely to impact on the Trust
  • Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety related to, and affecting sites, property and facilities management services.
  • Experience of delivering a multi-project programme of building works to a number of clients simultaneously
  • A proven track record of delivering academy estates and facilities services, or equivalent skilled expertise, in a building or property related role.
