Job description
The Brooksbank School is entering an exciting new chapter as it starts its journey with the Together Learning Trust, a highly respected local multi-academy trust; a close family of local schools with one aim – to deliver extraordinary education for every child, every day. As a result, a new opportunity has arisen for a friendly, organised and committed Estates & Facilities Manager to join our site team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a Facilities / Estates background, ideally with experience of working in schools or on large building projects and leading a team of dedicated staff. As the Estates & Facilities Manager, you will play a lead role in ensuring the Brooksbank school has a safe, warm, clean and welcoming environment for all who work in, learn at and visit the school. You will be expected to provide support to the senior leadership team and colleagues across the wider school and Trust.
We are looking for someone who has:
  • Up to date knowledge of statutory regulations (Eg Health & Safety, fire, legionella & buildings)
  • Proven experience of operational practices, working methods, quality standards, security issues, work schedules and priorities of a full range of site facilities services
  • Experience of developing Estates and Asset management strategies and project management
  • Experience of managing complex capital projects and working to deadlines
  • Excellent organisational skills who can plan and manage their own workload
  • The ability to communicate effectively to a range of audiences.
  • Previous experience of working within a school or busy office environment.
  • a good general education with pass grades (C/4) in English and Maths
  • Good ICT skills and (ideally) experience using an MI system such as Arbor or Bromcom.
In addition to the above, we’re looking for someone who is self-driven and wants to deliver the best service. It’s important that you can demonstrate a solution’s focused attitude, maintaining a positive outlook and work well in a team.
What you’ll get in return?
You’ll be joining a school and Trust which is all about putting staff first – with numerous wellbeing initiatives and social events to enjoy each term!
In addition to this you will benefit from:
  • West Yorkshire Pension Fund – one of the best pension schemes in the country.
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Free Parking
  • An onsite Gym
  • Employee assistance programme
Please download or request a copy of the Job Pack for more information.
Closing Date: 9.00am Monday 24th April 2023
Interview: W/C 1st May 2023
Start Date: ASAP depending on notice
