The Role
We are looking for a motivated & experienced Established Fabric Sourcing Partner to join the team here at ASOS. This person needs to be a proven team player who would welcome building strong relationships with both internal teams at ASOS as well as external suppliers. The role reports into the Senior Fabric Sourcing Partner. We are looking for a dedicated, self-motivator who takes ownership of their responsibilities & is gaining confidence to fully support company targets & ambitions.

The Fabric Team work closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Buying, Merchandising and Garment Technical teams. ASOS aims to deliver first to market product. What you'll be doing...
- Exploring & driving consolidation opportunities across key Retail Departments negotiating the best fabric prices & delivery directly with garment manufacturers, fabric suppliers & agents.
- Supporting the implementation of cross functional Fabric Management Data Systems including working with commercial teams to identify seasonal volume fabric pots for consolidation, cost saving & standardization.
- Support HOF in fabric forecasting & greige commitment & fabric management.
- Rolling fabric liability figures, working closely with suppliers on fabric use up & sharing with commercial teams.
- Supporting the drive to position ASOS globally as a leading Fashion brand though fabric innovation, trend & sustainability.
- Working closely with agents, mills and manufacturers to gain full transparency of fabric origins as part of the wider ASOS Fashion with Integrity initiative.
- Working with key mills to drive new fabric trend & first to market fashion & gaining market price intelligence on volume fabrics to drive margin.
- Supporting & offering ideas for new fabric processes & best practices that support the ASOS Commercial Strategy within ASOS supplier business model
- Increasing customer trust & confidence through consistency in fabric quality working closely alongside Fabric Technology.
- Working closely alongside Fabric Technology to review existing fabric bases with a view to making consistent improvements in ASOS quality.
- Researching & being confident to present regular fabric trend updates sourcing new fabrics as appropriate ahead of the season: Delivering seasonal overarching fabric trends, Catwalk Updates, Social Media & International Trade Shows.
- Collaborating with the Sustainability and Ethical Teams to work towards the FWI targets.
We'd love to meet someone with...
- A broad knowledge and experience in MW & WW fabric sourcing & composite materials in the current competitive marketplace
- The ability to build strong relationships both internally with ASOS teams and externally with suppliers & manufacturers will be integral to the role.
- Broad current market-leading knowledge of worldwide fabric & composite materials supply chain including core volume lines & quick response unisex fast fashion.
- Breadth of knowledge across all fabric bases, experienced in sourcing composite materials for fashion & sportswear.
- Proven experience in developing knitted & woven fabrics into price, design & sustainability.
- Confident presentation and communication skills that are clear, succinct & persuasive.
- Good knowledge of ASOS customer demographic & trends in fashion & textiles, market awareness of socioeconomic factors impacting the fashion industry and critical elements.
- A strong understanding of new fabric innovations and development, with an interest in relevant technologies.
- Flexibility to travel to visit mills, suppliers and fabric fairs globally to report on newness and maintain key supplier relationships
- Aside from technical experience, organisational & analytical skills are essential, as are good time management and the ability to prioritise tasks
- Strong reporting skills using Excel, data management & PowerPoint skills
