Job Summary:
Summer program teachers wanted!
VGC International College is an accredited institution in downtown Vancouver. We have been delivering quality programs to our students for 20 years and we are looking for teachers to join our summer program team.
We are looking for multiple dynamic, enthusiastic teachers to join us for up to 7 weeks between July 4th and August 18th. Potential candidates must be able to commit to at least the month of July. We are looking for teachers to teach the following:
Juniors (9-12 years), Teens (13-17 years) and adults.
The program runs Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 3:30pm [Wednesday-Friday until 4:00 out-of-school
field trips]. Average 30 class contact hours per week.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Planning for and delivering dynamic classes to a diverse group of students.
Teach from an existing curriculum which covers Canadian Culture and Leadership as well as English skills, grammar and functional language.
Lead students on organized, program-wide field trips.
Complete all necessary day to day administration required by the school (attendance etc.)
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum of a Bachelors degree and TESL Certification. (Equivalent experience e.g B.Ed and experience teaching international students will also be considered)
Experience teaching teens and/or juniors
Excellent communication skills
