ESG Reporting Analyst
Would you like to play a substantial role in the sustainability journey of the UK’s biggest homewares brand? It’s an exciting time at Dunelm, as we look to expand our talented Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Reporting team as part of our plans to achieve net zero by 2040.
In this role you will play a vital part in creating outputs and insights to shape our approach to reporting and delivering our sustainability, net zero and other ESG targets. Being part of our Core Finance function and reporting to the Senior Finance Manager for ESG, you’ll support a broad cross-functional group of stakeholders. You’ll have plenty of opportunity to apply your existing experience and be well supported to grow new skills and knowledge.

In addition to those key qualities, the below skills & experience will be advantageous:
- A highly analytical thought process; both numerical and textual.
- Experience of data analysis in Excel using advanced formulas, VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables etc.
- Experience using enterprise reporting systems & data manipulation tools, especially SAP and Power BI.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and effective financial controls.
- Experience of delivering and documenting new methods of reporting, analysis and processes.
- Knowledge of the ESG reporting landscape, particularly TCFD and GHG Protocol.
- Ability to research and understand complex subjects and summarise findings for onward communication to others.
- Ability to work through complexity & ambiguity to uncover meaningful insights & produce actionable recommendations.
Some examples of the activities this role might focus on are;
- Producing and continually improving periodic internal and external reporting for a range of operational targets and regulatory obligations such as; Packaging Taxes, Energy Consumption, Waste, and Greenhouse Gas Reporting.
- Mapping and maintaining views of internal and external value chains to ensure clarity of reporting and to support targeted actions.
- Supporting the development of more efficient and accurate Greenhouse Gas reporting across Scopes 1, 2 & 3, including data management and automation of reporting.
- Robustly documenting methods, processes and assumptions associated with all reporting activities, producing highly communicable & auditable outputs.
- Supporting the ESG Reporting team with advancing the ESG agenda across the business through building good quality relationships and providing high quality insights & analyses.
