A fantastic opportunity to join our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Team as an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Advisor (EDI) with responsibility for driving change and promoting equality, diversity and inclusion across Cambridgeshire County Council.
This position is full-time. It is offered initially as a fixed term for one year. It is a hybrid flexible working arrangement. We are actively seeking to attract applicants with diverse experiences and from wide-ranging backgrounds.

What will you be doing?The EDI Advisor supports the EDI Business Partner and the organisation to progress EDI activity and embed best practice across all areas of the Council. They will advise, devise and lead of EDI projects, ensuring all voices are listened to and using data to inform their approach. They will contribute to policy work, including proposals, papers and briefings.
The EDI Advisor will undertake specific operational and strategic activities, as well as project work and must be able to support and collaborate with colleagues across the organisation.
A key part of the role will be to provide advice and expertise on EDI issues, developing guidance and a learning culture to raise staff awareness, understanding and confidence to speak about EDI in their work.

About youYou will have demonstrable professional experience of working on specific EDI projects and interventions in an EDI role.
You will have experience of conducting equality impact assessments with a good understanding of the Equality Act and related case law.
