SHE Manager (Safety, Health, and Environment) – Food Industry

Responsibilities:

  • Safety First: Implement and enhance our existing safety programs, reducing risks and bolstering our culture of safety excellence. Work to prevent accidents, incidents, and injuries. Identify root causes, and implementing corrective and preventive actions to mitigate future occurrences.
  • Health & Well-being: Promote wellness initiatives, ensuring our team thrives both personally and professionally fostering a culture of well-being among employees.
  • Environmental: Lead our environmental efforts, driving sustainable practices and reducing our carbon footprint. Develop our environmental management systems to minimise the company's environmental impact.
  • Training Guru: Deliver engaging training sessions, empowering our team to be safety advocates.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Staying informed, aware and up-to-date with local, regional, and national regulatory requirements and best practices related to safety, health, and environment, and ensuring the company's compliance with these standards.
  • Risk Assessments: Conducting regular risk assessments throughout the entire bakery and provide recommendations and actions for risk reduction and mitigation.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of safety, health, and environment programs and work to continuously improve them.
  • Collaboration: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate safety, health, and environmental considerations into all business activities and processes.

Requirements:

  • Passion for Progress: Show genuine enthusiasm for revolutionising SHE practices in our site and wider business. Ability to successfully communicate and engage with our employees at all levels.
  • Experience & Education: Proven experience as an SHE Manager in the food industry or a similar fast paced manufacturing environment. Deep knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations and industry best practices. Relevant Certification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field such as (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA)
  • Data Driven: Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills to identify and address potential safety and environmental risks. Analyse performance metrics to continuously improve our SHE programs.
  • Leadership: Inspire, motivate, show and lead our team towards a safer and healthier future factory.
  • Tech-Driven: Embrace technology to enhance our SHE initiatives.
