To continue to meet our customer’s mission critical needs, DDC is seeking a POSITION TITLE to join our respected and valued team.
This position is 100% onsite at our Bohemia, Long Island, New York Headquarters.
The salary for this position is $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 annually.
The Sustaining Engineer will lead the sustaining function at DDC. The engineer will oversee the identification, review, assessment and resolution of deficiencies throughout a product’s life cycle.
Primary/Essential Duties:
- Technical expert who can provide engineering knowledge and oversight to resolve manufacturing, obsolescence and quality-related problems with existing products
- Independently research solutions, troubleshoot and resolve complex problems by analyzing product data
- Analyze designs and drive changes or modifications when needed
- Responsible for yield improvement recommendations of the production line
- Provide high quality support to customers and internal stakeholders
- Proficiency in the design, implementation, and maintenance of a products life cycle, including necessary equipment, configuration, and software
- Work with other departments including, Quality Assurance, Planning, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to maintain and improve product
- Responsible for overseeing qualification cycles following industry standard specifications
- Communicate and present findings to various disciplines within the organization
- Due to U.S. Export Control laws, candidates need to be able to provide US citizenship, Permanent Residency or possess a Green Card.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- 3-5 years relevant work experience required
- Strong skills and experience in troubleshooting hardware issues using lab equipment
- Experience working within a software development environment, Visual Basics, C++, C#
- Statistical Analysis, such as creating Histogram, Pareto, and other types of charts
- Familiarity, understanding, or experience with automating/controlling test equipment thru software code
