Job description

For our UK manufacturing site in Telford, we are looking for an influential Environmental, Health and Safety Officer for a fulltime permanent position, working Monday to Friday across our flexi-time structure.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Establish the EHS presence across the business, including writing, implementing, and managing EHS Programs, Policies and Procedures whilst providing guidance on EHS topics to the senior management team.
  • Assist in all compliance reviews, risk and safety assessments as well as all facility inspections ensuring the fulfilment of applicable laws and regulations.
  • Promote incident prevention across the site, supporting in the development and presentation of relevant training and certification programs.
  • Maintain and prepare relevant reports, logs and documentation whilst participating in detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Oversee waste disposal and coordinate all necessary safety and personal protective equipment, such as evaluating, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
  • Conduct daily and monthly Environment, Health and Saftey Meetings, Trainings and Lead Plant Safety Committee.

Your qualifications & experience:

  • Hold a NEBOSH (National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety) or equivalent qualifications with knowledge of both ISO45001 & 14001.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment with proven ability to work with employees and achieve cultural change in the face of potential resistance.
  • Competency in using EHS data systems and Microsoft Office, inputting data and maintaining systems as well as possessing an analytical mindset to gather data, facts and statistics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident in delivering presentations and training sessions, whilst able to respect the importance of confidentiality.
