The Headlines:
Supports the EHS Manager to provide local strategy for environmental compliance (CAA, Stormwater, Wastewater, SPCC, RCRA, EPCRA) and sustainability processes within the plant. Work collaboratively with plant teams to ensure an effective exchange of information to maintain and update permits, applications, and reports. Prepare for and participate in regulatory inspections. Provide training and guidance to teams on environmental compliance and sustainability efforts. Participate in project development and advise team on environmental compliance risks and countermeasures. Provide hands on, day-to-day support by collecting data, pulling samples, and inspecting environmental program elements.
Champion sustainability in the plant and community by representing the company in community recycling and sustainability initiatives. Engage employees by providing education and opportunities for involvement.
Utilizes Molson Coors Supply Chain (MCSC) to achieve world class standards of environmental compliance and sustainability. Adhere to all rules, regulations, policies, and programs to ensure safety and quality of Molson Coors products.

The Responsibilities:

  • Ensures compliance with environmental requirements - Supports EHS Manager to ensure compliance with all environmental regulations (CAA, Stormwater, Wastewater, SPCC, RCRA, EPCRA).
  • Ensures plant environmental programs operate in a continuous state of readiness for regulatory inspections.
  • Interacts with regulatory agency personnel and participate in regulatory inspections.
  • Prepares and maintains permits and reports for environmental programs.
  • Performs department audits and inspections
  • Provides guidance on environmental compliance efforts to plant personnel
  • Works with team to meet existing and emerging state carbon reduction requirements.
  • Utilizes problem solving to investigate environmental deviations and upsets.
  • Coordinates with plant operations employees to ensure environmental compliance
  • Maintains and updates site-specific environmental programs, such as spill contingency plans and waste management protocols.

  • Provide day to day hands on support to ensure environmental compliance
  • RCRA - Inspects waste storage areas. Profiles, packages and ships waste. Maintains waste tracker.
  • Stormwater – maintains stormwater pond levels and responds to spills to mitigate risk
  • Wastewater – takes daily effluent readings and monthly outfall samples.
  • SPCC – performs monthly and annual AST inspections. Ships used oil.
  • EPCRA – performs chemical inventories. Evaluates chemical purchase requests.
  • Provides technical support to reduce environmental risk.
  • Assesses the existing or potential environmental impact of projects.
  • Develops countermeasures to control, manage, and remediate risk to water, air, and soil and ensure permit compliance.
  • Supports plant safety, energy, and environmental initiatives.
  • Identifies and implements energy savings and renewable energy projects
  • Demonstrates commitment to safety through participation in and support of safety initiatives
  • Supports Quality efforts of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), housekeeping, and 5S.

The Other Qualifications:

  • High School diploma required, BS in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical degree; advanced degree in environmental engineering preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years work experience in an environmental field with experience in management systems, environmental analysis, industrial ecology and life cycle assessment
  • Advanced familiarity with federal and state environmental rules and regulations including Clean Air Act (Title V), Clean Water Act/ Safe Drinking Water Act drinking water, wastewater, storm water and hazardous material regulations.
  • Advanced familiarity with the various technical aspects associated with environmental regulations
  • Knowledge of sustainability strategies, energy efficiency and social stewardship

Job Posting Salary Range: (Colorado) $74,000 - $106,400
