Job description

You’re an experienced Environmental Consultant or Project Manager with experience of domestic or commercial oil spills and land remediation. You’re looking for a new challenge and want to help our operation in England grow and manage our junior staff. This is a great opportunity for a Senior Environmental Consultant to join a developing company who’s looking to expand their footprint within England.

BASIC SALARY: Up to £45,000

LOCATION: Our head office is based in Northern Ireland and ideally, you’ll be based in Central England / the Midlands as you’ll be working all over England. You’ll be working remotely and travelling to and from clients’ sites so could be close to the major motorway networks.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Environmental Consultant, Project Manager – Oil Spill Response, Contaminated Land and Water Remediation

Utilising your extensive experience, as our Enviromental Consultant you’re going to take full ownership and manage the operation of remedial projects including oil spill response, commercial remediation projects and invasive plant species management across the whole of England. You’ll be responsible for the operational management of the two Junior Consultant, who are keen to learn from your expertise. By shadowing and mentoring your team, you’ll be prolific in helping aid their development. Although reporting to our Environmental Director, we trust you to be self-managed and to work remotely while travelling to sites across England on your own schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Environmental Consultant, Project Manager – Oil Spill Response, Contaminated Land and Water Remediation

As our Environmental Consultant you’ll be:
  • Liaising with a range of project stakeholders and supervise the site of remedial works and site investigations
  • Health and safety planning, preparation of risk assessments, method statements and construction phase plans
  • Collecting environmental samples from sites and compile phase reports and validation reports to inform remedial strategies
  • Creating proposals and tenders for potential projects to grow sales in England
  • Managing and delegating tasks to the junior staff

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Environmental Consultant, Project Manager – Oil Spill Response, Contaminated Land and Water Remediation

By reporting into our Environmental Director based at our head office in Northern Ireland, we need an Environmental Consultant who can take ownership of the operation within England.

We need you to:
  • Be an experienced oil spill environmental consultant
  • Have exposure to domestic / commercial oil spills
  • Be capable of performing the hands on drilling and testing of sites
  • Ideally have management experience to nurture our existing team in England

COMPANY:

We specialise in spill solutions, land remediation, water contamination and invasive plant species. As a group, we provide a range of specialised services aimed at providing the most current and effective methods in dealing with environmental and waste management.
