The purpose of the role is for the Environmental Assistant to work closely with the Port’s Environmental Manager, to assist with our Environmental Management System and monitoring the progress of our Net Zero Strategy.
We are looking for someone with excellent communications skills who is keen to engage with both the workforce, as well as the community in and around the Port of Aberdeen.
The wide remit means the post holder will assist with reviews of operations, environmental audits and assessments, identifying and resolving environmental problems and implementation of changes.
The ideal candidate will have:
· A degree or to pass the second year of environmental sciences, or environmental engineering or related subject.
· Be able to work at pace, and effectively manage competing priorities using good judgement and decision-making abilities.
· Be well organised with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.

Salary: Up to £25,000.00 per year
