National role with regular travel to Birmingham and London
£40,000 to £45,000 per annum plus Car or Car allowance

Reporting to the Head of Environment, the Environment Manager is a new role within the organisation that will be at the heart of delivering our environmental ambitions.
The role of Environment Manager offers an opportunity to create environmental improvements, and be a visible lead in the delivery of projects with internal and external stakeholders. The Environment Manager will build positive stakeholder relationships with sustainability at the core, whilst supporting the wider environmental agenda across the Group.
No two days will be the same. When you’re dealing with people there’s never a dull moment, and you’ll use your strong interpersonal skills to support and develop the business.
As Environment Manager you’ll be:
· Supporting the Head of Environment to develop and deliver the Churchill environmental strategy and action plan, including our transition to net zero by 2040
· Engaging Churchill’s clients in our environmental vision and ambition, delivering client specific reporting and presentations as required
· Developing trusted links both internally and externally with stakeholders through active engagement and collaboration on environmental initiatives
· Proactively deliver environmental initiatives and innovation across the group to drive sustainability performance
· Working to maintain and continually improve the Environmental and Energy Management Systems to ensure certification to ISO14001 and ISO50001
As Environment Manager you’ll have:
· A broad understanding of environmental topics, with a breadth of skill and interest
· Knowledge and understanding of the principles of the UK environmental regulatory framework
· A creative mindset and ability to inspire others with a vision of a more sustainable future
· The ability to motivate people at all levels to engage in the sustainability ambition and change behaviours
· The ability to manage projects through to completion and to work effectively under pressure
· Willingness to travel within the UK as required
Qualifications and experience
· Degree qualified in an environmental discipline, preferably with IEMA membership
· 3 years’ experience working in an environmental focussed role
