Entry Level Trading Analyst
We are seeking an Entry Level Trading Analyst to join the Futures & Options Deliveries team within JP Morgan's Global Equities Opertions line of business in Bournemouth on an initial 6 months contract. To be considered you should have recent reconciliations experience along with good excel skills (as a minimum basic navigation, formulas, data formatting, pivot tables and ideally macros) and have a keen interest in Financial markets.
Global Equities Operations supports Clearing, Reconciliations, Client Service, F&O House Ops, Expiries & Deliveries, Settlement, Brokerage, Client On-boarding, Client Money, Regulatory Reporting, Static Data Management and Position Management.
- JPM is the 2nd largest Futures Commission Merchant based on Client Assets
- Processes ~750,000 cleared and intermediated trades daily
- Provides clearing at 62 global Clearing Houses
Job Description
Futures & Options (F&O) EMEA Deliveries set and execute the expiry operational process for the clients clearing products within EMEA Exchanges. We are a group of 5 covering:
- ICE Energy & Environmental: Gas Oil, Murban Oil, European Emissions, UK Emissions, US Emissions, Nat Gas, Power.
- ICE (ex-LIFFE): London Cocoa, Robusta Coffee, Feed Wheat, White Sugar, Gilts.
- EUREX: Fixed Income Bonds.
- LME: Non-Precious Metals (including warrant management).
- Euronext Commodities (ex-MATIF): Milling Wheat, Corn, Rapeseed.
- EEX: Emissions.
- Equities across all major European Exchanges.

Key Skills
- Strong excel and reconciliation skills
- At a minimum confident with basic navigation, formulas, data formatting, pivot tables etc
- Preferable to have VBA/macro experience
- Strong attention to details and experience working to strict deadlines
- Any background in banking a plus but not required
- An interest in financial markets and how they operate
- Be happy to work the shift patterns required by the team (7-3, 10-6, 12-8)
Summary of Responsibilities
- Your daily activity will include expiry position management and deal with client queries/issues appropriately and on a timely basis.
- You will have the ability to manage risk associated with high value, time-sensitive settlements.
- You will use our client and operations data to review processes regularly and update procedures as required.
- You will be empowered and supported to initiate and participate in automation drives and process improvement initiatives.
- You will effectively engage with projects work including managing stakeholders and driving change.
*Please note this role will be working in the office full time initially for training purposes and then may move on to a hybrid model. when you do end up working from home any days you’ll require your own PC/Laptop.*

Salary: £140.00-£160.00 per day
