Entertainment Manager
Location: Fantasy Island Resort & Skegness Pier
Hours of work: Typical 40 Hours - Permanent
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £30,000-£35,000 per annum
We are looking for an experienced Entertainment Manager responsible for the operation and development of our expanding Entertainment department across our 2 leisure and entertainment sites in Lincolnshire.
You will bring current trends along with traditional aspects of entertainment and introduce creative and innovative ideas that create an exciting experience for our customers.
You will have excellent communication, organisational and execution skills. You will need to be a strong leader with short and long-term planning being a key part of the role.
Proven record of budget management and the ability to control costs but still achieve and maintain a high-quality entertainment product.
The successful applicants’ duties will include:
Working alongside the Senior Management Team, you will bring the Fantasy Island Entertainment offer to life.
Consistent communication with operational teams including Retail Bars, Catering and Marketing departments.
You will be required to manage, train, and develop team members.
Assist In the delivery of the ‘entertainment message’ to our customers & caravan owners through social media, local and onsite promotion.
Create and deliver a comprehensive and diverse entertainment plan that is aimed at our customer demographic and based on seasonal plans.
Stage presentation, compering and audience interaction skills and experience essential.
Discover, contract and ensure payment for all visiting and resident live artistes, including singers, bands, tributes, company performers, DJs and entertainment team members. Ensure all entertainment is booked and delivered to the agreed profiles and budgets.
Attend key trade show events to discover new and exciting talent that will help bring our stages to life.
Regular monitoring and assessment of all entertainment content, taking the necessary action to ensure quality is always maintained in all venues.
What are we looking for?
Entertainment and/or Events experience, ideally in a high-volume environment.
Focus on developing and supporting your teams and a “hands-on” approach.
Ability to inspire, coach & challenge your teams.
Flexible working hours including some late evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
The ability to effectively manage budgets and meet financial targets.
Comfortable working under pressure.
Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.
Proven track of success in creating quality entertainment offerings in an ever-changing environment.
