About the role
We are looking to appoint an Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) Solution Architect, who will be fundamental to QinetiQ’s Land RAS Capability, which is a key focus area for the company across all home markets, as well as co-ordinating development of new propositions and capabilities.
Robotic and autonomous systems that operate in the maritime, land and air domains can provide significant operational advantage, while increasing safety, mission tempo and reducing the burden on troops, field workers, and first responders. QinetiQ performs a key role in delivering such RAS capabilities, through our services across research, experimentation, operationalisation, and through life mission management.
This an exciting opportunity, to play a key role in shaping how QinetiQ enables our customers around the world to achieve Information Advantage through exploiting digital and data technology.~
What will you be doing?
This purpose of this role is to provide solution leadership across development of new propositions as part of QinetiQ’s Robotics and Autonomous Systems Global Campaign. This will include activities such as: developing a compelling value proposition, defining the underlying solution and service, ensuring QinetiQ has the required delivery capabilities including building partnerships and vitally, providing solution leadership across the winning and execution of strategic deals.
Engaging with our customers to shape vision, strategy and requirements.
Providing solution leadership across strategic captures.
Ensuring QinetiQ aligns development of RAS propositions and capabilities as part of a coherent strategy.
Providing leadership across QinetiQ capabilities working with our SME’s to design and deliver solutions which deliver on customer requirements.
What do I need?
Experience of working in a Solution Architect role in the Defence and National Security sector
Experience and expertise across design and delivery of technology solutions.
Leadership of diverse technical teams, providing clear direction to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.
Excellent customer engagement skills, able to lead in co-creating compelling solutions and strategies.
Understanding and knowledge across a broad range of RAS related disciplines
