Job Title: English Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our secondary school, which is part of a reputable multi-academy trust. This is a full-time position with a competitive daily pay rate ranging from £150 to £210.

Position Details:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering engaging and interactive English lessons to students in accordance with the curriculum.
  • Planning and preparing lesson materials, ensuring they cater to the diverse needs of the students.
  • Assessing and evaluating student progress through regular assignments, tests, and examinations.
  • Maintaining accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant information.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to create a cohesive and comprehensive English curriculum.
  • Providing constructive feedback to students and offering guidance for improvement.
  • Participating in parent-teacher meetings and communicating with parents regarding student progress.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Specialization in English Language and Literature or a related field.
  • Experience teaching English at the secondary school level is desirable, but newly qualified teachers are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Effective classroom management skills, maintaining discipline and creating a positive learning environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the overall development of the English department.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £150.00-£210.00 per day

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • Salford, Greater Manchester: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

  • Bachelor's (preferred)

Experience:

  • Teaching: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • QTS (preferred)
