Join the University of Sheffield's Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre and become a vital part of our vision for excellence in Welding and Fabrication Engineering Training!

The AMRC Training Centre are currently seeking a passionate Engineering Trainer to inspire and shape the minds of future industry leaders. You will have the exciting opportunity to deliver outstanding training in a well-equipped workshop environment. You will focus on Welding and Fabrication techniques with potential involvement in Mechatronics Maintenance instruction.

To succeed in this role, you will have;

  • a Level 3 qualification in engineering (BTEC/NVQ/C&G/HNC) or possess relevant experience, demonstrating your proficiency in the field.
  • a teaching qualification, or willingness to undertake upon starting your journey with us.
  • excellent time management and organisational skills that are critical to ensure the smooth running of training sessions and meeting deadlines.
  • ability to foster a collaborative and hard-working team environment. This will be highly valued, as we believe in the power of teamwork in achieving success.

Your role will extend beyond the workshop, as you actively participate in enriching activities, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths events, promoting the Training Centre and inspiring the next generation of engineers.
